Barbies Inc. originated in 2017. It became apparent, at a young age, that the owner, Nyla Simms, had an eye for beauty. But it was not until her senior year of high school that she realized that the beauty industry was where she belonged. Beauty was not a fleeting thought, it became her passion.

 

Upon graduating from high school, Nyla immediately enrolled in the Aveda Institute of Cosmetology in Washington, DC. This experience has afforded her the opportunity to work with the Wizard's Cheerleaders. After receiving her Certificate of Completion in 2016, Nyla continued perfecting her craft in local salons, increasing her hands-on experience with each client. By doing so, she further enhanced her color and extension skills, which have become her specialty. As a hair vendor, custom wig creator and personal stylist, Nyla continue to expand her "all things" beauty business.

 

This is just the beginning for the young entrepreneur who desires to become a theatrical stylist with multiple salon spas under her Barbies Inc. brand.
